Add maps

SuperMap iPortal provides three accesses for adding map resources from the SuperMap REST service, OGC WMS service and WMTS service of iServer to the portal (The user is required to be type of "Creator" type and has the role of adding map permission, such as PORTAL_USER. The division of user type and permission in iPortal, see: Roles, User Type and Permissions:

• In "Resource Center" > "Map", click "Add Maps" to add;

• When registering the service to the iPortal, you can choose to add map resources included in the map service;

• In the admin interface, add maps in batches.

The following content describes in detail how to add a map from the map service to the iPortal on the "Resource Center" > "Map" page.

Steps:

1. On iPortal home page, click Resource Center > Map to enter the map list page, click "Add Maps" (needs login) on the right side to enter the adding map page;
2. Inputting service address

Inputting service address in the pop-up dialog box, service address needs to use the actual IP address or domain name, the common service address format is as follows:

• Service root address, after entering the service address, it will add all the map services as the map in the services directory:
• http://supermapiserver:8090/iserver/services
• Specific service address, after entering the service address, it will add the corresponding map service as scene:
• http://supermapiserver:8090/iserver/services/map-world/rest
• http://supermapiserver:8090/iserver/services/map-world/wms111
• http://supermapiserver:8090/iserver/services/map-china400/wmts100

• It supports to add to the single map level for SuperMap REST service and OGC WMS service:
• http://<server>:<port>/iserver/services/map-china400/wms130/China
• When registering a secured service from SuperMap iServer, the service address should carry a token (the client type parameter used to generate the Token should be "No Client IP Limit"), such as:
• http://supermapiserver:8090/iserver/services/map-china400/rest?token=NZkILm9Tl2FGzwK_nUh9krlHOtO0ds83lDoARA85_rMveuTyK0TyGcYV-5rn3wUYE-MSNPlw6wKnewy8jek_JQ..

3. Setting tags, it is convenient to search the resources in iPortal via Tags filter. You can set multiple tags Separated by "," and the number cannot exceed 6;

4. Sharing settings:

Setting the map batch registered for a share, the default setting is private, not found and accessed by others, you can also uniformly set the map to public, share it to all the iPortal users (including anonymous users) for accessing, of course, also you can only share it to the department (default is not open), members of the department can find and access the map, they can also share it the specified group, group members can find and access the map, also they can only share to specified part of the users, besides himself only these users can find and access the map. After the success of batch adding, you can also set for a share by My map.

5. Click the "ok" button, completing to add map resources.

The added map resources will be displayed on the "Resource Center" > "Map" > "My Map" page. On the "My Map" page, you can edit the map (click the edit icon to enter DataViz page, for the use of DataViz WebApp, please refer to: Create maps), view/edit map details, modify sharing settings, delete maps.
